Directions / map

The Dornier Museum is located directly adjacent to the Friedrichshafen Airport, and is very well integrated into the transportation network for the Lake Constance area. A route map can be downloaded as a PDF file here.

By car

To reach us by car, we suggest using Google Maps to plan your route directly. Once in Friedrichshafen, you can also simply follow the signs to the airport. Sufficient parking is available directly at the Museum.

By train

The Dornier Museum is very close to the »Friedrichshafen Flughafen« train station. You can plan your trip here via Deutsche Bahn (German Rail): www.bahn.de, or via the BOB (Lake Constance/Upper Swabia regional train service): www.bob-fn.de

By coach

From the Friedrichshafen city centre there is regular bus service to the Dornier Museum via line 8 as well as lines 7586 (Montfort line: Friedrichshafen-Tettnang) and 7394 (express bus). For more information on the Friedrichshafen municipal transport service, see: www.stadtverkehr-fn.de.

By ferry (from Konstanz)

The new catamaran service connects the cities of Konstanz and Friedrichshafen hourly from 5.02 am to 8.02 pm. The trip takes only 46 minutes. From the port, the BOB (regional rail) provides direct service to the Friedrichshafen Airport.

By ferry (from Switzerland)

There is hourly service from Romanshorn to Friedrichshafen, and the trip takes around 40 minutes. For exact departure times, see: www.bsb-online.com. From the port, the BOB (regional rail) provides direct service to the Friedrichshafen Airport.

By plane
