The Dornier Foundation for Aerospace

Founded by Silvius Dornier on August 25, 2005, the Dornier Foundation for Aerospace is a legally recognized civil law foundation dedicated exclusively to charitable purposes. It operates under the supervision of the Regional Council of Tübingen.

Born out of a deep passion for technology and aviation, the foundation’s mission is to preserve and share the achievements and pioneering spirit of one of Germany’s most innovative companies for future generations. To fulfill this purpose, the Dornier Museum was established. The collection displayed there has been carefully curated by the foundation from various countries and continues to grow. Generous loans and donations play a crucial role in making it truly unique.

Beyond maintaining the museum, the foundation is committed to the ongoing expansion of a specialized library on aerospace and actively promotes scientific research and innovation in the field.
